Tonkawa Tribal Regalia
Women's Apron Instructions

Supplies:
      * yd of fabric (colour complement to your dress)
Thread (match the colour of your material)

*The width of your apron is dependant on your body, measure around the widest point in between your natural waist and above your knees and then add 5 inches.*

1. Cut a piece of fabric 5in wider than the widest point of your body.
2. Cut that fabric length to about 1 -2 inches above your knee.
3. You might need to sew darts into your apron so that it will lay flat and not pucker.  (Fig.2)

*Pin these before you start to hem-up the edges!*

4.  Hem around all edges of the fabric.

5.  Wrap fabric around at your natural waist and mark where the snaps/Velcro should be attached.
